ABOUT JO CASAMENTO

Hi peeps! Welcome! I’m a single mum of 20-year-old boy/girl twins Maximus & Matisse and my youngest daughter, Allegra, 18, (who is definitely the boss of the household), plus a step mum (or I like to say bonus mum) to my beautiful stepdaughter, who we have always called Ba. There’s also a bossy cat, Mr Fluff, and a pampered pooch, Minty Fresh, in the mix too. When I’m not cleaning up after the brood, I’m a vibrant, dynamic and well-respected journalist, media commentator and MC with over two decades of experience spanning TV, Radio, Newspapers, Magazines, Digital and Social Media in Australia. These days I’m also a podcaster, MC, content creator and influencer. But above all I cherish my family and am trying my best to merge my traditional Italian upbringing with the modern world and now, as my family grows, navigate exactly what my next path looks like. I think it’s a journey many can relate to...

Brookalini & Andy 🤍 I don’t even know where to start… Saturday night was just magic. From the Bridgerton music with violins and cellos setting the tone to a dance floor that never emptied - it felt like one big, joyful blur of tambourines, sparklers, champagne towers 🍾… and just a big old fashioned dose of love 💕! When I looked around and cousins, siblings, aunties, uncles, grandparents, great aunts and uncles, family & friends from here and OS are all celebrating together on the dance floor for hours and hours - well it’s one of those nights I wish I could bottle forever 🫶🏻 Brookie, you were absolutely stunning. Andy, the way you look at her says everything. And yes you were the “featured role” in her big day. And didn’t she did a frigging amazing job! Still smiling about being part of something so special🤍✨

🎭🎶Last night was iconic. Literally the definition of the word! Phantom. Fireworks. Masquerade. A massive Chandeleir suspended over stunning Sydney Harbour. Gondoliers. Opera Australia. Andrew Lloyd Webber. 🙌 Need I say more? A magnificent, magical night under the stars at The Phantom of the Opera on Sydney Harbour ✨🌙 words can’t even describe the epic-ness! From the moment that giant chandelier rose above the water (via a crane), on a windy Sydney night! I was completely transported. The ominous threat adding to the tension & mystique throughout! This 40th anniversary production by @operaaustralia at Mrs Macquaries Point is nothing short of breathtaking - dramatic, spine-tingling and utterly unforgettable. I’ve known and loved this music forever - ever since I was a little girl listening to Michael Crawford on repeat thanks to Mum — and yet somehow had never seen Phantom live. (I know my bad, right?) And what a way to experience it for the very first time. Soprano @amy_manford as Christine was whimsical and luminous, and the young 22yo Phantom from QLd @jakelyle delivered a performance 🎭 of a lifetime - well beyond his years. 👩‍🍳 Making golden little balls of happiness… Rolling, frying, tasting… repeat 😍
Spent the most delicious afternoon making arancini at @barbettacucina with executive chef Carmelo Cipri - and honestly, what a fab Xmas gift idea for my boyfriend! Gotta say I’m pretty pleased with myself -such a winner 🎁 💫 THAT moment when the cheese melts and stretches 🤤 Bellissimo. The Cipri boys always deliver, but this was next-level fun - such a brilliant gift idea if you’re stuck for something different, memorable and delicious. Italian food, brought to life in the best way ❤️🇮🇹 I’m attempting this recipe at home for family this weekend… wish me luck 😅

Resort mode activated 👙🌴🍹 🐚 33 years ago, on our first year uni break, @cootenaomi and I fell in love with the beauty of Koh Samui (it was a lot less developed then! Literally 2 pubs and a few shacks!) … We shared dreams, laughs and plenty of mango smoothies✨ Coming back now, and being lucky enough to re-discover it with a group of lifetime friends, and sharing it all with our gorgeous kids has been beyond magical 🌸🤍
